Re:Action

This new, dynamic provision of thought provoking programmes designed to engage young people in exploring their values and choices, is brand new for 2008 from Young Potential

Designed by a team of specialist practitioners who have years of experience of working with challenging young people and their families in inner city and BME communities.

RE: ACTION programmes provide young people with fun, innovative and challenging activities to explore their boundaries and potential, and gain a greater understanding of their own self development. We offer a variety of workshops, sessions and programmes which cover a wide range of issues and topics around social and self awareness. We deliver a unique experience that can enable young people to gain an insight into their own ability to make a difference in their lives, and reach their potential.

Working Together
A new programme providing support to families by removing the communication barriers, and providing a neutral environment for them to learn together. Over a ten week period, young people and parents take part on equal footing in a range of short courses, teambuilding and motivational workshops, and social events. Designed to raise awareness of the day-to-day problems faced by both parties, the activities help each to identify and cope with issues  like conflict, decision making, responsibility and communication.

Peer Mentoring
This programme provides training and ongoing support to encourage and enable young people to become Peer Mentors. Through a course of twelve  workshops that explore the theory and context of mentoring, the participants will cover a wide range of issues while developing their own skills in communication, awareness and responsibility. Devised to identify the contribution young people can make in their communities, the programme promotes citizenship and personal development through volunteering .
