Young Potential has been providing a safe learning environment for young people who are not able to attend mainstream schools since 2001. We run a range of speciaist courses and can also offer individual one-to-one tuition. We specialise in emotional resilience, behaviour management and life skills We use media, arts, music and sport to engage with young people’s interests
Our philosophy places the emphasis on the whole development of the young person, including emotional, physical and moral well-being alongside academic progress.
Schools or Local Authorities refer young people to our courses, but the young people themselves choose if they want to be part of the course after they have attended an initial induction day. This puts the choice in the hands of the young people and empowers them to take control of their learning.
Our provision is flexible and can accommodate students from 1 session (morning or afternoon) to 4 full days per week during term time.
All courses use NOCN Step Up Awards to capture and accredit the academic progress of the young people.
